Cutlass Bearings for a 95 mm Shaft
We list three Exalto cutlass bearings for a 95 mm (3.74") propeller shaft, in phenolic, brass and GRP. They fit a 115 mm (4.528") housing bore, and every one is 380 mm (14.961") long. The nominal wall is 10 mm thick: half the difference between housing bore and shaft.
None is in Australian stock today. You can pre-order all three, with dispatch estimated at 3 to 4 weeks. Prices run from $945.00 (the phenolic MPSF95) to $1,925.00 including GST, and Express Post delivery within Australia is free.
The nearest imperial shaft size we list, 3-1/2" (88.9 mm), is 6.1 mm smaller and takes different bearings. Keep the shaft size in the unit it was made to: 95 mm is 3.74", and metric and imperial bearings of a similar size are not interchangeable.

How to choose a bearing for a 95 mm shaft
Measure the housing bore and the length of the bearing you are replacing, then find that combination below. Every bearing here shares one housing bore and length; they differ in shell material, tolerances and availability.
- 115 mm (4.528") housing, 380 mm (14.961") long: phenolic MPSF95 (dispatch in 3 to 4 weeks, $945.00), brass MBSF95 (dispatch in 3 to 4 weeks, $1,925.00), GRP MGSF95 (dispatch in 3 to 4 weeks, $1,320.00)
Phenolic, brass and GRP describe the outer shell, and each has a grooved nitrile rubber lining. The non-metallic phenolic shell avoids galvanic corrosion between the shell and a metal housing. Exalto advises against fitting brass directly into steel or aluminium housings. Exalto identifies GRP as suitable for steel and aluminium stern tubes as well as compatible non-metallic housings. More about each: phenolic cutlass bearings, brass cutlass bearings and GRP cutlass bearings.
Matching sizes is the first check, not the last: confirm the shell material, the housing's condition and the retention method for your boat. The measuring guide explains what to record, or contact us with your measurements.
